The project 'Internationalising the Polish Experience of Solidarity' envisages the organisation of two editions of an intensive international education programme: an online summer school for male and female foreign students and doctoral students in 2023, conducted exclusively in English, over 5 consecutive days. The Polish Solidarity experience is one of the most recognisable contributions of Polish culture to the heritage of humanity. Participants of the summer school and will learn about the historical and philosophical background of the Polish Solidarity experience, they will also consider to what extent it is an element of European identity and what is the potential of transferring the Polish Solidarity experience to other countries and cultures. The summer school will be sponsored and expertly supported by the International Centre for Solidarity Phenomenon Research - a research unit at the Faculty of Philosophy of UPJPII. Participants in the summer school will also be introduced to materials presenting Poland as a country of attractive opportunities: for study, work and life. The IMPK will be intensively promoted. The planned IMPK will serve to promote Polish culture and increase the internationalisation and recognition of the applicant among foreigners.

The conducted IMPK will be an authentic encounter with philosophical thought and the Polish experience of "Solidarity".Classes will be conducted remotely in the form of plenary lectures and workshops in small groups. Lectures will be delivered in blocks. The lectures will be given by recognised Polish professors (with a track record in the content included in the IMPK) - in the area of: the history of the idea of solidarity against the background of the economic changes of the 19th and 20th centuries, the ethics of solidarity in Poland, which was developed especially by John Paul II and Józef Tischner. Internationally recognised professors with a body of work related to the content covered by the IMPK will in turn conduct classes on solidarity in Europe, Solidarity as a response to problems arising from the globalisation of the economy and socio-cultural life, including the possibility of deepening, creatively developing and applying the Polish experience of solidarity to global problems. The IMPK lectures will be delivered by experienced didacticians at a high didactic level.
