Who can come study?

The Summer School is open to:

  • Foreign students or doctoral students – i.e., students or doctoral students who do not have Polish citizenship and who hold the status of a student or doctoral student respectively throughout the duration of the Summer School;
  • Polish students or doctoral students – i.e., a student or doctoral student who holds Polish citizenship and the status of a student or doctoral student throughout the duration of the Summer School.

Students must have a sufficient level of English proficiency to enable their participation in the Summer School (the minimum requirement is proficiency at the B2 level).

Classes will take place from 26-30 June and 10-14 July (2023). 

  • During the 26-30 June session, classes will be held between 14:00 and 21:00, CEST (Warsaw timezone).
  • During the 10-14 July session, classes will be held between 09:00 and 16:00, CEST (Warsaw timezone).

 Summer School Recruitment

Recruitment for the Summer School will start on June 05, 2023 and will last until:

  • June 19, 2023 – for the first round of applications; recruitment has been completed
  • July 3, 2023 – for the second round of applications; the student limit has been reached; registration for the wait-list is possible

Candidates should apply for participation in the Summer School by filling out the electronic registration formDuring registration, the candidate is obliged to:

  • complete the participant's data form,
  • provide an e-mail address for contact,
  • declare the status of a student or doctoral student throughout the duration of the Summer School,
  • provide confirmation of knowledge of English with an appropriate document,*
  • accept the information clause on the processing of personal data.

Candidates will be notified of the result of their qualification by e-mail within 3 days of the close of registration for a given round. The Summer School programme can be attended by a maximum of 100 participants, Each round is limited to 50 students.

Our offer

The Solidarity Summer School will run from 26-30 June and 10-14 JulyA participant of the Summer School:

  • attends the Summer School and its classes free of charge,
  • receives a certificate proving their participation in the Summer School, if the criteria for completion of the Summer School are fulfilled.

Summer School Classes

  • 40 hours of didactic classes will be conducted in the form of lectures and exercises.
  • All classes will be conducted in English.
  • All classes will be conducted using distance-learning methods and techniques in synchronous and asynchronous form.
  • Participants of the Summer School are obliged to participate in the exercises conducted in the synchronous form. The limit of allowed absences is 50%.
  • Participants of the Summer School can participate in the lectures in an asynchronous form.

The first edition of the Solidarity Summer School will be held from 26 to 30 June, between 14:00 and 21 time in Kraków, CEST.

This means it is:

  • 17:30 and 00:30 in New Delhi
  • 13:00-20:00 in London
  • 9:00-16:00 in Buenos Aires
